Arsenal vs Leicester City Betting Preview

Arsenal are scheduled to entertain Leicester City in the Premier League on Tuesday. The north London side have been in a good run of form and they picked up a third league victory on the bounce over the weekend with a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Next up, they are set to host Brendan Rodgers’s side at the Emirates Stadium and it should be an entertaining contest.

The east Midlands outfit have struggled for consistency since the turn of the year and they picked only their fourth league win of 2020 at the weekend. Rodgers’ team ran out 3-0 victors over Crystal Palace at home and it was a much-needed result in their quest to finish in the Champions League places.

Jamie Vardy ended a four-match goalless run with a brace against the Eagles and that should give the club confidence ahead of the Gunners clash. The Foxes have had the upper hand over the Gunners with three wins from the previous four league meetings, but each of those have come at the King Power Stadium.

On the road to the Gunners, their record has been rather dreadful over the years and they have failed to pick up a single point against them since 1995. They are a different team at the current phase when compared to the yesteryears and Rodgers should fancy theprospect of picking up at least a point from the Emirates trip.

The absence of supporters at the Emirates Stadium somewhat neutralises the Gunners’ advantage. On the other hand, the north London side have been exploited in the past with pace on the counter-attack and Vardy should keep the defence busy. Hence, we are anticipating the contesting to end in a high-scoring draw. Meanwhile, Vardy should go into the game with confidence after his brace and he could be fancied to find the back of the net. The 33-year-old enjoys playing against the Gunners and has bagged nine goals from the previous 10 meetings.
