EURO TRANSFER SUMMARY

Ahead of the World Cup set to kick off next week, Europe top clubs have been busy in the transfer market as they look to settle their business on time.

Liverpool have released German midfielder Emre Can after his contract lapsed. There were hopes that he would renew with the club but he refused to as he ran down his contract. Anfield could have taken advantage of the situation to get cash but their hope that they would convince the player, and then Can’s injury affected the whole process. Can reportedly signed a pre contract with Juventus in January and has now agreed to a four year deal with the Turin based club. Reports in Italy say Can will earn about €5 million annually. He is set to undergo a medical next week before the clubs confirm the deal, reports say.

Arsenal sign PSG starlet YacineAdli for £223,000 after the player rejected a contract offer from Paris. The starlet had his Ligue 1 debut in the last game of last season where PSG played a goalless draw with Caen. Coach Unai Emery decided to bring him to north London on a three year deal, with option of two more years.

Manchester United completed their second transfer signing by successfully luring 19-year old DiogoDalot from Porto. The fullback agreed a five year deal with the Manchester outfit having had an impressive rise in the youth teams of Porto. United closed the deal for £19 million as they hope he would provide competition for the current fullbacks.
The Jose Mourinho led side earlier completed a deal for Brazil international Fred for £52.5 million from Shakhtar Donetsk. Mourinho is looking at a revamp of the team even as he works on the defence and cut some players out.

West Ham have completed the signing of Fulham defender Ryan Frederick. The 25-year old former Spurs youth player moved to Bristol in 2015 before switching to Fulham26 days later where he cemented his spot in the team. The Hammers signed him as part of efforts to revitalize their squad after underperforming last season.
