Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves has heaped praise on experienced midfielder Joao Mourinho whose stunning strike versus Manchester United ensured that the Wolves picked up a point at Old Trafford on Saturday. The Portugal international made the surprise move from Porto to the west Midlands earlier in the summer and he has since proved a fantastic partner for Neves in the centre of the park while contributing a goal and an assist in the process.
Wolves were thoroughly dominant during their Championship campaign last term and shortly after their promotion, they managed to attract several high-profile players to the squad including goalkeeper Rui Patricio. Though the club have not made much progress in terms of points, they have certainly impressed with their attacking display where they have not been shy of testing the opposition with shots every now and then.
With the United stalemate, Wolves have picked up a point against both Manchester United and Manchester City, who are expected to challenge for the title. This surely holds Wolves in good regard as they seek to push for a top-half finish in their maiden season since returning to the top-flight.
