INTER REJECT CHELSEA’S OPENING PLAYER + CASH OFFER FOR LUKAKU

Inter Milan are trying to play hardball with Chelsea as the English Premier League side are trying to re-sign one of their former strikers this summer. The Blues are trying so hard to get a deal for the Belgium international striker over the line after seemingly being priced out of a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. Chelsea had been chasing Haaland all summer even though they were told when the summer transfer window just opened that they would not be getting a chance to sign the German Bundesliga giants’ prized asset anytime soon but they kept pushing in a bid to convince Dortmund to sell and they failed in the end.

One of the reasons for Dortmund’s reluctance to sell Haaland this summer is due to the fact that they’ve already sold Jadon Sancho to Manchester United and they would not want to lose their two best players in the same transfer window – especially not without first getting replacements for them. Although they have ready signed the replacement for Sancho, they still want Haaland to spend at least one more season with them before they can start listening to offers for him from next summer.

They are still engaging in an off-the-field battle to sign West Ham United and England midfielder Declan Rice, with both teams looking to shore up their midfield ranks this summer. Rice is not a new name when it comes to transfer speculations, as the midfielder has been a subject of serious speculations and rumors, especially from Chelsea since the start of last season.

Chelsea are the most serious of the club’s trying to sign the player and their interest in him dates back to the days of their former manager Frank Lampard, who tried to table a bid for their former star but West Ham made it clear that they were not willing to listen to offers for him. Fast forward to three transfer windows later the Blues are still strongly showing interest in Rice and they could also be making a bid for him in the coming days.

KLOPP: WE WILL KEEP FIGHTING FOR UCL SPOT

The fact that Liverpool are currently on the verge of missing out on European football next season is something that would have been unbelievable at the beginning of the season but that is the current reality of the Reds so far this current campaign. For a team that won the English Premier title last season, a lot more than what they have done this season was demanded from them as reigning Champions but they have fallen short of those expectations.

A big cause of their challenges this season has not only been the inability of their attackers to score goals, but also the fact that they have resorted to conceding too many goals as well. The Reds were a formidable team to play against in the entirety of last season and also turned Anfield into a venue where no team would love to visit, but this season, all of those reputations have been dented.
